How do I port my phone number to VoIPVoIP? How much does it cost?

You can keep your US phone number and use it with VoIPVoIP, porting to our service. This feature is available for only US phone numbers and it's FREE of charge.

To port your phone number first you need to buy a US phone number from VoIPVoIP.

You can buy US phone number while signing up for VoIPVoIP account choosing a phone number with the area code of the number you want to port. If you are already VoIPVoIP customer you can buy the phone number logging to My Account and than "Buy Phone Number" link.

Once you buy a phone number with the same area code of the number you want to transfer, you need to open a ticket for one of VoIPVoIP customer care representatives. In order to open a Help Ticket to port your number;

1. Logon to My Account.

2. Click on "Help Desk " and than "Submit New Ticket " link

3. Enter a message requesting phone number transfer with the phone number information as well as;

- the registered name and address for this phone number

- the current provider name, account number

- the last 4 digits of your SSN

- the PIN number (if available)

4. Click on "Submit" button.

Your ticket will be responded by a VoIPVoIP customer care representative in 24 hours and a web link for authorizing the number transfer will be sent to you.

Fill in the authorization e-link and sign electronically.

Once you authorize the transfer request it can take several business days to process and in some cases, can take more than thirty (20) business days to complete. VoIPVoIP will keep you informed of the transfer process via email along the way.

Once you start the porting process you cannot cancel the process. But when the porting is completed you can port the number to another provider.
