Area Code Selection
With VoIPVoIP, you are no longer tied to your "local area code". Our phone service is available nationwide, so choose a new number in your local calling area or select a number anywhere else in the country for free.
Keep Your Phone Number
You don't have to lose your phone number if you change phone companies. If VoIP VoIP offers phone numbers in a city or town near you there's a good chance you can keep your existing phone number if you switch to VoIPVoIP.
This is called Local Number Portability (LNP).
How To Transfer Your Number To VoIPVoIP
1.) Login to your account and open a help ticket for transfer request including your phone number. Please also confirm the registered name and address for this phone number.
2.) Fill in the authorization e-link that will be sent by support team and sign electronically.
NOTE: Transfer requests require several business days to process and can, in some cases, take more than thirty (30) business days to complete. VoIPVoIP will keep you informed of the transfer process via email along the way.
Are you connected to Internet with DSL?
DSL subscribers have a special situation because you must keep their existing phone numbers to maintain a high-speed connection to VoIP VoIP. In this instance, we would suggest either transferring your DSL service to another phone line with your current carrier, or you can switch to Cable Internet instead of DSL. We work well either way!
What Happens If Your Number Cannot Be Transferred?
If VoIPVoIP cannot transfer your number, you may choose to get a new VoIP VoIP number in your area or elsewhere. Or, you may decide to keep your existing phone number with minimal service and add a VoIPVoIP number that will help you save on outgoing calls.
Phone Card
